This piece was crafted by Nora Maison, an independent tailoring studio overlooking the Sicilian sea, where attention to fit, construction and timeless Italian craftsmanship shapes every piece.
We work exclusively with small Italian ateliers, valuing their expertise and autonomy in their craft, and dedicate 3% of our profits to the people behind every PURE LAYERS piece.
The Journey
- GOTS-certified organic cotton grown on a 44-hectare farm in Castelbuono, Sicily, Italy.
- Cotton ginned and processed at certified facilities in Marina di Tusa, Sicily, Italy.
- Transformed into yarn and fabric by Maeko in Biella, Italy.
- Cut and sewn in Sicily by Nora Maison, Italy.
- Distributed by Pure Layers, Zurich, Switzerland.
Durability Tested
Tested to last at least 100 washes, because lasting quality should be measurable.
DURABILITY TESTS:
Durability should be proven, not assumed.
We created the 100-Wash Test to measure how our garments perform through repeated wear and washing.

25 → 50 → 75 → 100 WASHES
At each stage, we assess colour, shape and fabric integrity.
The results are published on our product pages, so you can see how each garment performs over time.

Our garments are also designed to be repaired and restitched, helping extend their life and keep them in use for longer.
Care Instructions
- Wash before first wear.
- Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) with similar colours.
- Use a mild detergent.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Line dry naturally.
- Cool iron if needed.

Returns:
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days for unworn, unused items in original condition. Underwear and socks require an intact hygiene seal.
Return shipping is at the customer’s expense. Pure Layers covers faulty, damaged or incorrect items.
